Programming

Since the inception of Always Remembered Flags in 2011, its impact on homeless veterans has been successful. In 2012 the organization became a 501(c)3 donating $800 to the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs to be used to purchase essential items needed for homeless vets. 

In 2014, the AR purchased almost $1,000 worth of dress shoes, boots, and gloves for the homeless vets, given through the Dryhootch  in Madison.

In 2015 to present the AR has worked with the Dane County Standdown organization and since 2018 has supported Take A Vet Fishing.

Starting in 2017 the AR has worked with the Community Action Coalition of South-Central Wisconsin (CAC) in Madison. The CAC submits a checklist of needed essentials to the AR who buys the essentials and delivers them to the CAC agent, giving the essentials to the Veteran moving into housing.

The above chart lists the number of veterans impacted by AR Flag during the recent past to present; the numbers show forward movement, but also that there is room for growth with the help of others through donations and purchases.
